As part of NetHui day Zero, the New Zealand Internet Task Force (NZITF) will be hosting a day for policy makers around the security of the internet of things (IoT). On the day we will hear from Engineers and technologists about the challenges and opportunities of securing the internet of things. There will be opportunities to discuss these ideas and the challenge of translating them into the policy setting environment of New Zealand.

Speakers for the day include: David Robinson (Penetration Tester, ZX Security), Graeme Neilson (Co-Founder & Chief Research Officer, Red Shield), Jon Duffy (Office of the Privacy Commissioner), Derek Robson (Acting Security Manager, Ministry of Social Development), Britta Offergeld (Advanced Security Group) & Matt Tett (Chair of the Australian IoT Alliance Cyber security Working Group).

The NZITF is a non-profit with the mission of improving the cyber security posture of New Zealand. It is a community of security professionals across government, law enforcement, academia, information security, and private sector industries including telecommunications, information technology, and banking.
